is a poet, critic, host of the poetry analysis podcast, Versecraft, and Translations Editor at Literary Matters. He is a staunch advocate for the revival of metrical composition, traditional forms, the grand style, and philosophical subject matter in poetry (conceived together as Monumentalism) as well as the rebirth of Epic and Tragedy.

He studied Philosophy and Classical Music in the Macaulay Honors Program at Brooklyn College, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He later received a Master's degree in Poetry from the Vermont College of Fine Arts. He has years of experience as a bookseller and a cheesemonger, and currently teaches at various schools across Chicagoland.

Special interests of his include the literature of 5th century Athens, 17th century London, and 19th century Paris; Symbolist, Art Nouveau, and Art Deco art; Baroque and post-Wagnerian Classical music; Epic Doom Metal, Chazzanut, and the folk music of Scandinavia and the Mediterranean; the philosophy of Spinoza and Schopenhauer; the spiciest foods he can get his hands on.
